On this day, I worked on this gorgeous platform.
A villager who saw me working dangerously on the stool lent it to me.
I decided to work only in the morning as it was dangerous in the afternoon when many children gather.
But children who were on vacation from the neighbouring village helped me.
It was a happy day.

Me la prestó un aldeano que me vio trabajar peligrosamente en el taburete.
Decidí trabajar sólo por la mañana, ya que por la tarde, cuando se reúnen muchos niños, era peligroso.
Pero los niños que estaban de vacaciones del pueblo vecino me ayudaron.
Fue un día feliz.

The work on this day was on a stool.
I gave up using the desk that was under the stool the day before because it was broken and dangerous.
The children supported the stool as it was too unstable to work on this stool even if it was put directly on the ground.
You can see that some of the children doodled, can't you?

El trabajo de este día fue sobre un taburete.
El día anterior dejé de utilizar el pupitre que estaba debajo del taburete porque estaba roto y era peligroso.
Los niños apoyaron el taburete, ya que era demasiado inestable para trabajar en él aunque se pusiera directamente en el suelo.
Puedes ver que algunos de los niños hacían garabatos, no?

I was astonished when I was told that a stepladder could not be procured.
I worked while balancing on a 30 cm square seat.
After painting as far as I could reach, I moved the desk and chair.
During the process, a leg of the desk broke and I fell off the desk, but I was not injured.
The work was nerve-wracking in many ways and continued for a week.
Many people in the village cooperated with me.
I am glad I did my best.

Me quedé atónito cuando me dijeron que no se podía conseguir una escalera de mano.
Trabajé en equilibrio sobre un asiento cuadrado de 30 cm.
Después de pintar hasta donde podía llegar, moví el escritorio y la silla.
Durante el proceso, se rompió una pata del escritorio y me caí de él, pero no me lesioné.
El trabajo fue angustioso en muchos sentidos y se prolongó durante una semana.
Muchas personas del pueblo colaboraron conmigo.
Me alegro de haber hecho todo lo posible.

Bam-pou-ki-itsu is a 禅語(zengo), Zen terms, which meaning is :
The one is whole as it is.
The individual exists in the whole and the whole contained in the individual.
There are many complicated things in the world or in our minds.
Joy, difficulties, sadness etc.
Every thing looks different but they are only different sides of one thing.
People in the village explained me that the green words above and the picture in the center mean the same as Bam-pou-ki-itsu. I was allowed to paint on this wall but I decided to keep the original painting and added my work. Village people welcomed this collaboration very much.

Bam-pou-ki-itsu es un 禅語(zengo), términos Zen, cuyo significado es :
El uno es el todo tal como es.
El individuo existe en el todo y el todo contenido en el individuo.
Hay muchas cosas complicadas en el mundo o en nuestra mente.
Alegría, dificultades, tristeza, etc.
Cada cosa parece diferente, pero sólo son diferentes caras de una misma cosa.
La gente del pueblo me explicó que las palabras verdes de arriba y el dibujo del centro significan lo mismo que Bam-pou-ki-itsu. Me permitieron pintar en esta pared, pero decidí conservar el cuadro original y añadí mi obra. La gente del pueblo acogió muy bien esta colaboración.

The cow was chosen as an animal to symbolise God, and the works for this exhibition were done in the desert.
Desert sands mixed with traditional sumi ink created a new texture unique to the region and a primitive expression.
